The sensor works very well. The Wisblock is almost maxed out on the sensor connectors. I have the GPS module connected to slot A. The temp/humidity/pressure/air quality is connected to the sensor extender, which I have connected to slot B (under the GPS module). Slot C has the RTC module. Slot D is free, for a reason. The RTC module can mess up when it’s plugged into slot D.
Why do I have a GPS, and RTC module? First, I take the Beacon with me on trips. It sits nicely on top of the A/C. I have the magnetic mounts. Meshtastic is set up to lock onto satellites on boot up. Since that is very rarely, that’s when the RTC module kicks in.
Now, onto the gripe!! It’s not Atlavox’s, nor the sensor module at fault. I have the sensor in an enclosure, which is mounted underneath the Beacon. Even with it underneath, the temperature reads excessively hot. There is only one length of the sensor cable. It can’t be longer due to signal degradation.
Anyways, it is nice and accurate in the shade, and at night.
