This antenna has an N-Type Male connector, which is stronger than an SMA connector and has a better weather seal. The connector gender refers to the conductor connection, not the threads on the housing. N-Type Male connectors have a female threaded housing, with a male pin.
Due to the length of the antenna, it must be secured using the add-on mounting bracket (sold separately). Alternatively, the mounting bracket can be used without the U-Bolts and you can attach it to a wall or other flat surface.
