The Elecrow ThinkNode M6 is a solar-powered Meshtastic™/MeshCore™ node built for outdoor deployment. A perfect node for deploying as a repeater to extend your mesh coverage and reliability for off-grid, decentralized text communications.
When you need to fill a coverage gap on a hilltop, treeline, or remote corner of your property, a solar relay node is the answer. The ThinkNode M6 packages the radio, 6W panel, 7000mAh battery, LoRa antenna, GPS antenna, mount, and IP65 weatherproof enclosure into a single all-in-one unit you can deploy in minutes.
Key Benefits
- ☀️ Solar-Powered & Self-Sustaining 6W monocrystalline panel keeps two 18650 cells (7000mAh total) topped up through cloudy stretches.
- 📡 Long-Range Mesh Coverage Semtech SX1262 LoRa radio with external RP-SMA antenna
- 📍 GPS Built In External L76K GPS antenna shares precise position data over the mesh. Useful for tracking deployed nodes or running this as a stationary reference point.
- ⚙️ Sensor-Ready Expansion Two SP11 waterproof connectors break out UART and I²C so you can connect external temperature, humidity, soil, detection, radar, or other environmental sensors.
How it Works
Out of the box, the M6 ships pre-flashed with your choice of firmware. With Meshtastic, pair it to your phone over Bluetooth with the free Meshtastic app (default pairing code: 123456), set your region, then mount it somewhere with a clear view of the sky. From that moment on, it relays messages between your handheld radios; extending range, filling dead zones, and adding redundancy to your mesh.
MeshCore repeater firmware is developed, but please note that the LEDs do not function. MeshCore companion firmware needs further testing.

Key Features
- nRF52840 + SX1262 Architecture The same low-power Nordic chipset and Semtech radio combo used in the RAK4631 WisBlock - proven across thousands of Meshtastic deployments for its efficiency.
- 6W Monocrystalline Solar Panel MPPT charging pulls usable charge out of overcast skies, not just direct sun.
- 7000mAh Battery Reserve Two 18650 Li-ion cells (Panasonic) carry the node through stormy weeks. Ultra-low 21µA off-state current means stored charge isn't wasted when the radio is idle.
- IP65 Sealed Enclosure Dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. All external ports use waterproof aviation connectors with rubber caps.
- Function and Reset Buttons Turn your device on/off, trigger reset, DFU mode, Enable/Disable GPS, using the two sealed momentary buttons tucked below the GPS antenna.
- External RP-SMA Antennas Both the LoRa and GPS antenna connectors are RP-SMA, meaning you can upgrade either one for better gain, or run a coax extension to an antenna higher up the pole.
- Dual SP11 Sensor Expansion One UART port and one I²C port broken out through waterproof aviation connectors. Wire in environmental or detection sensors for telemetry over the mesh.
- USB-C Charging & Programming Charge or reflash firmware via USB-C without opening the enclosure (waterproof cap covers the port when sealed).
- Bluetooth Pair with your cell phone through the Meshtastic app for configuration and messaging access when you're physically near the node.
- Mounting An included removeable bracket for wall, pole or mast deployment. You'll need to add pipe clamps to attach to a pole. Features an adjustable angle for setting the solar panel to the optimal position.
- Sealed Unit No internal access cover means there's no chance for a gasket to leak. Unit is sealed from the front when the solar panel is glued in place.
