The SenseCAP Solar Node P1-Pro is a solar-powered Meshtastic/MeshCore node designed for long-term outdoor deployment. It comes with everything you need to get set up right out of the box, including four 18650 batteries, a GPS module, and pre-flashed and configured with your firmware of choice.

Mount it on a pole or wall to extend your mesh network's range and reliability. The integrated 5W solar panel keeps the batteries topped off, and the nRF52840-based radio draws minimal power, so this node can run indefinitely in most environments with as little as an hour of sunlight per day.

The P1-Pro supports communication ranges up to 9km in open areas and can function as either a standalone node or a repeater to relay messages across your mesh. Built-in GPS provides real-time positioning, making it a solid option for remote area tracking and outdoor operations.

A Grove expansion port lets you connect environmental sensors (temperature, humidity, air quality) for remote monitoring applications.

Atlavox ships your solar node pre-flashed with the latest firmware — no assembly, flashing, or configuring required.

Notes

  • Batteries are button-top 18650 (3.6V). If replacing, use button-top only.

Atlavox Beacon

The Atlavox Beacon is a solar-powered, long-range mesh node designed for off-grid adventurers, emergency responders, and the prepared. Deploy it anywhere, from mountaintops to backyards, and create a redundant line of communication when phones and internet fail. Compatible with Meshtastic™ and MeshCore™. (Meshtastic™ installed by default, don't worry, you can flash either one yourself at any time.)

The Atlavox Beacon is a LoRa mesh radio that lets you send text and data without cell towers or internet.

Solar Powered

Powered by the sun with 24/7 uptime. Oversized 5w solar panel and 5,000mAh LiPo battery power the super efficient RAK 19007 WisBlock radio. Less than an hour of sunlight per day is needed to keep the battery charged, with plenty of capacity to carry you through extended stormy days with no sun. For convenience, you can also charge the battery via the waterproof USB-C connector when not deployed.

Mounting Options

Plenty of flexibility on where you can install the Atlavox Beacon.(Mounting Hardware sold separately.) They include:

Security

Mountiple lock holes allow you to padlock or cable lock the Beacon in either the opened or closed position. If wall mounted, locking it in the closed position prevents mounting bolts/screws from being accessed. Prevent the Beacon from being opened, or secure it around a tree, pole, or attach safety wire for peace of mind.

Antenna Rail

270° of adjustment keeps your antennas vertical in a wide variety of mounting positions. The rail is laser cut with (1) N-type bulkhead cutout, (2) SMA bulkhead cutouts on top, and one SMA cutout on each side of the rail, giving you a variety of options for mounting different antennas for LoRa, BLE, GPS, or other custom sensor systems.

Antenna Rail can be mounted on either top or bottom edge of solar panel frame, for even more flexibility and configuration.(Antennas over 12" are recommended to be mounted separately.)

5V, 5W ETFE Solar Panel

Charges the battery using the WisBlock's onboard charging circuit. The solar panel can pivot 180° from the mounting plate, enabling you to position the panel exactly where you need it to achieve optimal solar exposure.

Aluminum Powder-Coated Frame

Laser cut, bent, powder coated, and assembled in Rhode Island. Intended for extended outdoor deployment, the frame will never rust and will provide years of durability in the elements. Collapses down for transport/storage without removing antennas. 180° adjustment on solar panel and 270° adjustment on antenna rail. 

Aluminum Enclosure

IP67 rated, anodized, custom CNC holes, imported from custom manufacturer in China. It includes a USB-C port, power switch, LED indicators, two SMA antenna connectors, a cable gland for the solar power cable input, and a pressure equalization vent. 

Enclosure Vent

The installed IP-68 Amphenol Enclosure Vent allows your enclosure to breathe and equalize pressure with the environment, which prevents gasket blow-out and condensation build-up.

Thermal separation

Enclosure is suspended away from the solar panel to prevent overheating and provide space for optional insulation.

  • Flashed with the latest stable Meshtastic™ firmware immediately prior to shipping (not old firmware flashed months ago sitting on a shelf) Fully compatible with Meshcore and Reticulum, if you prefer to install custom firmware yourself.
  • Programmed with a custom private encrypted primary channel unique to your customer profile. This enables precise automated telemetry data.
  • Public channel moved to a secondary channel, so you can still talk on the public mesh if desired.
  • When you buy multiple radios from Atlavox, all radios in your order will share your custom private primary channel key. You'll have your entire private, encrypted mesh configured out of the box.
