USB-C Outdoor Cable, IP67 Waterproof Threaded USB-C Male Connector to Male USB-C

A weatherproof USB-C cable built for outdoor Meshtastic™ and MeshCore™ nodes. One end is a threaded, IP67-locking USB-C connector that seals to your Atlavox Beacon or custom enclosure's USB Bulkhead connector (sold separately). The other is a standard USB-C plug for your laptop, phone, USB power adapter, or battery bank. It carries full USB 2.0 data and power, so it is ready for firmware flashing, serial console access, and shore power. This is a real data cable, not charge-only.

The weatherproof end is a USB-C male plug inside a threaded locking collar (Ø20mm). It screws down onto the matching waterproof USB-C receptacle and compresses a silicone gasket for the IP67 seal. The opposite end is a standard USB-C male plug that works with any laptop, USB-C phone, USB power adapter, or battery bank.

Pairs With the Atlavox Bulkhead Cable

This is the outdoor half of a two-piece sealed connection. Mount the USB-C Waterproof Bulkhead Extension Ribbon Cable (available in 100mm and 200mm) into your enclosure to create a watertight USB-C port on the outside of the case, with a flexible ribbon that runs to your radio inside. Then screw this cable's threaded connector onto that port to power, charge, flash, or monitor the mesh. Your enclosure never has to be opened to the elements.

Run a Node From the Roof, No Solar Required

At 5 meters, the long version is the maximum length the USB 2.0 standard supports for reliable passive data, and it is tested for solid data transfer across the full run. That length changes what an outdoor node can be. Mount a node on your roof or the side of the house, run this cable down to the inside, and you have a permanently powered node with no solar panel and no battery needed.

Because the data lines reach all the way to your desk, you get serial access from indoors. Flash firmware, open a serial client, and power the device without climbing a ladder and without relying on Bluetooth. It is the simplest way to keep a deployed node reachable.

Shore power also solves the hard cases. Power-hungry boards like ESP32 nodes and 1W high-power nodes are difficult to keep alive on solar. Plug them into wall power through this cable and stop worrying about the energy budget. Add a USB battery backup in line and the node keeps running through outages while staying plugged in the rest of the time.
